    Three EMU softball women have earned spots on the All-ODAC Team, which was announced this morning by the league office.

    The Eastern Mennonite University's softball women advanced in the loser's bracket of the ODAC Tournament before falling to tourney's top seed Saturday in Salem, Va. The Royals started the day with a win against the eighth seed Guilford College before falling to top-seeded Virginia Wesleyan.

    Eastern Mennonite earned a walk-off win to advance to Day 2 of the ODAC Softball Tournament in Salem, Va. Danielle Brenneman executed the game-winning squeeze play in extra innings to forge a 3-2 win over Randolph in an elimination game.

    The EMU softball team wrapped up the regular season with a pair of non-conference losses Friday afternoon at Averett University. The Royals sit at 19-17 overall and 7-11 in the Old Dominion Athletic Conference.

    EMU's softball women split another conference doubleheader on Wednesday. The Royals fell to host Bridgewater College after nine innings of play in game one before earning a walk-off decision in the nightcap. The Royals stand at 19-15 overall and 7-11 in ODAC play.

    With a rain event looming on Sunday, Eastern Mennonite University and Guilford College have postponed their ODAC softball doubleheader. The games will be pushed back one day, and are now set for Monday with a 3:00pm start, still in Greensboro, N.C.

    The softball women banged out 31 hits in a doubleheader sweep on Tuesday afternoon, as they hosted Shenandoah University in the last home games of the season. The Royals improve to 17-11 (5-7 ODAC) on the year.

    After a 3-0 week in the circle, Sydney Reath was named the ODAC Pitcher of the Week. It was the first weekly award from the Old Dominion Athletic Conference for the junior pitcher/infielder, already a two-time All-ODAC honoree.

    Eastern Mennonite's softball team picked up four more wins at the Fastpitch Dreams Spring Classic on Monday and Tuesday afternoon, outlasting Wilkes University (4-2), Chatham University (1-3), Sage College (1-2), and Medaille College (3-2).

    The Eastern Mennonite softball women started red-hot at the Fastpitch Dreams Tournament in Myrtle Beach, S.C. after earning four wins on the weekend. The Royals used a great combination of getting of the scoreboard first while using great pitching to limit their opponents' opportunities.

    The Eastern Mennonite softball team has been picked to finish seventh in the Old Dominion Athletic Conference Preseason Poll. The Royals earned 31 points in the voting done by the league's coaches, well-spaced behind Roanoke at sixth and ahead of Randolph in eighth.

  • EMU To Dedicate Softball Seating Funded By Aylor Memorial Fund

    Eastern Mennonite University will hold a special ceremony on Sunday, Oct. 15, at 3:00pm to dedicate the new seating area behind home plate of Gehman Field. The built-in terraces were funded by the Kaitlin Aylor Memorial Fund.
