After completing a stellar career at EMU in 2007, Dominick Porter joins the team as an assistant coach this season.

Porter was a four-year player for the Royals' volleyball program and he is still fourth on the EMU Career Blocks list (226) and eighth in Career Kills (708).  He also holds the EMU record for Career Hitting Percentage at .385.  Porter was a three-time All-Western Division selection and was also named to the All-NECVA Second Team as a junior in 2006.

From 2008 to 2009, he played professionally in Germany for VC Dresden.  Porter was also part of the 2011 USA Men's National Training Team.

He is currently taking online classes to complete his Masters of Science in Management, Human Resource Management through Kieser University.
