Allen Narrowly Misses Final NCAA Field In Triple Jump
In 2009 and 2010, Michael Allen (Fork Union, Va./Louisa County) went to the NCAA National Championships in the triple jump. This season, he was named the ODAC Men's Athlete of the Meet as he won both the long jump and triple jump at the conference championships and provisionally qualified in the triple in the process. But the junior found out Sunday that he would not be making a third consecutive trip to the NCAAs.

In Final Warmup For Nationals, Allen Wins Triple Jump
With one provisional qualification already under his belt, Michael Allen was looking to add a second on Thursday. Eastern Mennonite University's jumper defended his lofty national status by winning the triple jump at the Virginia Tech/Roanoke Twilight Meet in Salem. His bid in the long jump fell short, however, as he failed to meet the national standard in his last chance before the NCAA National Meet later this month.

Allen Competes At Liberty Twilight Qualifier In Lynchburg
Eastern Mennonite junior Michael Allen made the trek to Lynchburg, Va., on Thursday for the Liberty Twilight Qualifier. Allen had already provisionally qualified for the D-III NCAA National Meet in the triple jump at the ODAC Championships, but failed in his bid to add a trip in the long jump.
