    Even though Tyler Denlinger stepped off the track for the final time last week, the senior’s awards have not stopped. Today Denlinger was named to the District V Academic All-District Team, as voted on by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA).

    Even a lightning delay on Friday and cooler wet weather on Saturday could not slow down the EMU track & field teams at this weekend’s ODAC Championships. The Royals took home three individual gold medals and one relay gold, setting a pair of records in the process, at the meet hosted by Washington and Lee University in Lexington, Va.

    In the final tune-up for the ODAC Championships in two weeks, EMU’s track & field teams looked exactly how they would hope – primed for a big effort at the conference meet. The Royals ran Saturday at the Liberty Collegiate Invitational in Lynchburg, which provided the men and women a good mix of D-I and D-II scholarship athletes as well as ODAC rivals they would see again.

    EMU’s indoor track & field teams returned to action this weekend, participating at the Liberty Kickoff in Lynchburg, Va. Along with running relatively close to home, the Royals enjoyed the new facilities at the Liberty Indoor Track Complex, which just opened.
