Royals Get Points At ODAC Championships
The Eastern Mennonite track teams gave a good performance at the ODAC Championships Friday and Saturday in Lynchburg. The men charted a number of season bests and had two athletes place with points. The women had three individuals or relay finishes in the top six.

ODAC Names Nafziger Athlete Of The Week
This past weekend was one of firsts for EMU's Dan Nafziger. He ran the 3000m steeplechase for the first time, took first place in the Eastern Mennonite record books, and then today won his first ODAC Athlete of the Week award for track & field.

Royals Gear Up For ODACs
On Saturday the EMU track teams participated in the Johnson C. Smith Invitational hosted by that university in Charlotte, NC. The Royals got a great chance to gauge their talent against a wide range of athletes, and had one athlete break an EMU record.

Royals Compete At Towson Invitational
The EMU track teams competed at the Towson Invitational on Saturday. With the meet flooded with D-I schools and their athletes, the Royals didn’t grab many high finishes. They did, however, show some nice individual performances.

The Eastern Mennonite University track & field teams completed a busy weekend Saturday at the Jopson Invitational in Bridgewater. A few runners also participated the day before at the VMI/W&L Carnival in Lexington.

The Eastern Mennonite indoor track and field teams got their final tune-up for this coming weekend’s ODAC Championships. As both squads continue to get healthy, the Royals came home from the VMI Winter Relays with a number of solid performances.

The Eastern Mennonite University indoor track teams were in Newport News on Saturday, participating in the Vince Brown Invitational hosted by Christopher Newport. The Royals had some solid showings in a meet also full of D-I and D-II athletes.

Morgan Starts With A Splash
In his first collegiate meet, Hilton Morgan decided it would be nice to put his name in the Royals’ history books. The freshman thrower launched a toss Saturday which vaulted him to second place on EMU’s shot put list.

Indoor Tracksters Tabbed For Eighth
Despite a roster larger than it has been for a few years, the Eastern Mennonite men’s track & field team has been picked to finish eighth out of eight teams in the ODAC Indoor Track Coaches’ Poll.

Eastern Mennonite has announced the incoming track & field recruits for the upcoming season. The Royals track teams will also include numerous cross country runners, although those recruits are not listed here.

Allen Narrowly Misses Final NCAA Field In Triple Jump
In 2009 and 2010, Michael Allen (Fork Union, Va./Louisa County) went to the NCAA National Championships in the triple jump. This season, he was named the ODAC Men's Athlete of the Meet as he won both the long jump and triple jump at the conference championships and provisionally qualified in the triple in the process. But the junior found out Sunday that he would not be making a third consecutive trip to the NCAAs.
