Wednesday night was the opening of the 46th season in the history of the Eastern Mennonite University men's soccer program. The Royals started off the campaign with a road game at Shenandoah University in Winchester, Va., and were surprised early by the Hornets. SEASON PREVIEW: Mast And Royals Make A Run For The Title
After taking a young team to the program's best conference finish since 2003, Coach Roger Mast is looking for new heights this year. The 2009 version of the Eastern Mennonite University men's soccer team featured only three seniors and took fifth place in the Old Dominion Athletic Conference with a 5-3-2 mark. In 2010, Mast has no seniors on the team but thinks his squad can make a push for the ODAC title.

The athletic departments of Eastern Mennonite University, Bluffton University and Goshen College have announced a massive double tri-match between the three schools' soccer teams slated for Friday through Sunday, Sept. 10-12. The games, dubbed the Menno Soccer Classic, will be hosted by Christopher Dock Mennonite High School in Lansdale, Pa.
