Late Heroics Force OT But Runnin Royals Fall In Quarterfinals
EMU made a pair of game-tying three pointers in the final 10 seconds of regulation, but it wasn’t enough as the Runnin Royals bowed out of the ODAC Tournament in overtime Friday night, falling 99-91 to Randolph-Macon.

Thorne Named All-ODAC Third Team
Eastern Mennonite junior Andrew Thorne has been named to the All-ODAC Third Team. Thorne was given the award Thursday night as part of a banquet in Salem, VA, as the Runnin Royals prepare for their ODAC Quarterfinal contest against Randolph-Macon Friday night.

Runnin Royals Control BC 79-65 And Head To Salem
Rivalry games always have a little something special about them, and Tuesday night was no exception when Eastern Mennonite hosted rival Bridgewater in an ODAC Tournament First Round game. The Runnin Royals scored the first 15 in the game, but trailed at halftime before running away with a 79-65 decision.

Runnin Royals Grab 62-61 OT Win From Guilford And Roll Into Postseason
The Royals all but locked up a home game in the First Round of the ODAC Tournament as they won a defensive overtime battle in Harrisonburg, knocking off Guilford 62-61. Junior Andrew Thorne put in the game-winning layup with 7.3 seconds left in OT and the Quakers’ Josh Pittman missed a contested three pointer to seal the decision.

Royals Pick Up Key Road Win At Washington And Lee, 70-53
Needing a win to keep alive the hopes of a home game in the First Round of the ODAC Tournament next week, Eastern Mennonite responded. Playing on the road, the basketball men held Washington and Lee to just 31% shooting and ran away with a 70-53 win. The decision also locked EMU and W&L into a tie for eighth place in the ODAC standings.

Royals Ice Tough Win Over Randolph With Free Throws
In ironic fashion, free throws made the difference for the Royals. After 39 minutes loaded with unbalanced free throw attempts, Eastern Mennonite sealed a 74-71 win over Randolph College by going 8-for-8 from the line over the final 37 seconds.
