Camp sections

Little Royals - for boys 4-8 years old. Camp runs Monday, June 18, through Thursday, June 21, from 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. each day. Awards ceremony Thursday at 11:30 a.m.

Day Camp - for boys 8-17 years old. Camp will open Sunday, July 1, from 3:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. and will continue Monday, July 2, through Thursday, July 5, from 9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. each day.  Awards ceremony will be Thursday at 2:30 p.m.

Staff

The camp will be directed by Kirby Dean, head basketball coach at Eastern Mennonite University, along with assistants Bill Hale (former Virginia State coach of the year), Melvin Felix (former All-ODAC player at Roanoke College), and Mat Huff (former EMU player).

Cost

$95 - Little Campers (ages 4-8)
$165 - Day Campers (ages 8-17), no lunch plan included
$195 - Day Campers (ages 8-17), lunch plan included

  • The first 200 campers to register will receive an official camp basketball.
    • A non-refundable deposit of $50 should accompany the registration form. However, you are encouraged to pre-pay the full amount to expedite the registration process at the start of camp.

  • Balance due at registration on first day of camp. However, you are encouraged to pre-pay the full amount to expedite the registration process at the start of camp.

Arrival and Registration

  • Day Camp Registration will begin Sunday, July 1, at 1:30 p.m. in the front lobby of the University Commons and will run until the official opening of camp at 3:00 p.m.  Day camp will conclude with an awards ceremony on Thursday, July 5, at 2:30 p.m.
  • Little Royals Camp Registration will begin Monday, June 18, at 8:00 a.m. and will run until the opening of camp at 9:00 a.m.  Morning camp will conclude with an awards ceremony on Thursday, June 21, at 11:30 a.m.
  • Meals will be served each day to those day campers on the meal plan at noon.  (Day campers only)
  • Snack provided for Little Royals at 10:30 a.m. each day.
